Datchet Beer Festival was conceived back in 2009 by a trio of local beer lovers.

Maybe it was the inspiring quality of the beer we had in front of us that day, or maybe it was the warmth of the sun on our backs...or maybe it was the realisation that having spent so many years just talking about it, it was finally time to make it happen!

Since that distant day of idle chatter, The Datchet Beer Festival has gained notoriety far and wide (we have good folk travel to us from as far afield as Newcastle, Cardiff, Brighton, Bristol and even Belgium and in 2017 visitors from Germany!) 

From real-ale aficionados who have us firmly underlined in their diary, those simply curious about a beer festival in a small Berkshire village, to those 'in-the-know' locals who love their beer.

The one thing all our visitors have in common is the love of a great time. Whether coming along with friends or coming solo and meeting new people - our Festivals aim is simple - to serve great beer and great food, deliver great entertainment, host great company and ensure a great time.

So now over a decade on (can you believe it!?) we can no longer claim to officially be Datchet's best kept secret!

The beer is well and truly out of the cask (or keg)... so to speak!

With such demand for tickets over recent years (and we hate to disappoint anyone!) and following the success of our "Thirsty Friday" event - the extra day is now a firm fixture.

As a result in 2024 we will offer our WIDEST selection of beer - over 22 real ales and ciders,  sourced from established and brand new local breweries within just a few short miles of Datchet village... and some from a little further afield (yes....we always have a few surprises up our sleeve)!

From such humble beginnings the 2024 festival is set to see 600+ people attend during the two days - so make sure you are one of them

Tickets for the The Connoisseur’s Afternoon are just £6.00, and for Thirsty Friday tickets are £10.00 and The Beerlover's Evening tickets are £12.00.

Datchet Beer Festival is run by 2^nd Datchet Scouts (Registered Charity number 300668) who allocate all the profits to scouting in Datchet.
