Datchet Beer Festival was conceived back in 2009 by a trio of local beer lovers.

Maybe it was the inspiring quality of the beer we had in front of us that day, or maybe it was the warmth of the sun on our backs...or maybe it was the realisation that having spent so many years just talking about it, it was finally time to make it happen!

Since that distant day of idle chatter, Datchet Beer Festival has gained notoriety far and wide (we have good folk travel to us from as far afield as Newcastle, Cardiff, Brighton, Bristol and even visitors from the USA, Ireland, Belgium and Germany!) 

From real-ale aficionados who have us firmly underlined in their diary, those simply curious about a beer festival in a small Berkshire village, to those 'in-the-know' locals who love their beer.

The one thing all our visitors have in common is the love of a great time. Whether coming along with friends or coming solo and meeting new people - our Festivals aim is simple - to serve great beer and great food, deliver great entertainment, host great company and ensure a great time.

So now over a decade on (can you believe it!?) we can no longer claim to officially be Datchet's best kept secret!

The beer is well and truly out of the cask (or keg)... so to speak!

From such humble beginnings the 2025 festival is set to see 500+ people attend during the two days - so make sure you are one of them

Datchet Beer Festival is run by volunteers from 2nd Datchet Scouts, past and present and other wonderful volunteers who give up their time, year-in and year-out to make this event the success it has become.

The Festival donates all profits to 2nd Datchet Scouts (Registered Charity number 300668).
