Datchet Beer Festival was formed back in 2010 by a trio of local beer lovers.
Maybe it was the inspiring quality of the beer we had in front of us that day, or maybe it was the warmth of the sun our backs...or maybe it was the realisation that having spent so many years
just talking about it, it was finally time to make it happen!
Since that distant day of idle chatter, The Datchet Beer Festival has gained notoriety far and wide (we have good folk travel to us from as far afield as Newcastle, Cardiff, Brighton, Bristol and even Germany!)
From real-ale aficionados who have us firmly underlined in their diary, those simply curious about a beer festival in a small Berkshire village, to those 'in-the-know' locals who love their beer.
The one thing all our visitors have in common is the love of a great time. Whether coming along with friends or coming solo and meeting new people - our festivals aim is simple - to serve great
beer and great food, deliver great entertainment, host great company and ensure a great time.
So now in our 8th year (where did the time go?!) we can no longer claim to be officially Datchet's best kept secret!
The beer is well and truly out of the cask... so to speak!
With such demand for tickets over recent years (and we hate to disappoint anyone!) we are following the success of 2016's "Thirsty Friday" event and have again added an extra day.
As a result in 2017 we will offer our BIGGEST EVER selection of beer - over 25 (yes...25!!) real ales and ciders, most sourced from established and brand new local breweries
within just a few short miles of Datchet village... and just maybe one or two from a little further afield (we always have a few surprises up our sleeve)!
From such humble beginnings the 2017 festival is set to see over 600 people attend during the two days - so make sure you are one of them
"So what'll it be?"... 'Thirsty Friday', 'The Connoisseur's Afternoon' or
'The Beerlover's Evening'?
Tickets for the The Connoisseur’s Afternoon are just £5 and Thirsty Friday and The Beerlover's Evening tickets are both £10...but whichever you choose, your
ticket includes one pint of your choice (ale or cider) .
All profits from the three sessions of the 2017 Datchet Beer Festival will be donated to charity.
